Why We Charge for Certificates
Our festivals are run as businesses, not nonprofits, and we don't receive grant funding or donations to subsidize our operations. Certificate sales are completely optional — your award stands on its own without one — but they play an important role in keeping our festivals running.
The income from certificates helps us partially offset the cost of the many benefits we offer filmmakers and writers free of charge across all of our festivals, including:
- WRPN screening pages with streaming for audiences and filmmakers, with no commercials or paid sponsorships.
- WRPN.tv Screenplayers Wall of Fame, designed and posted by our team at no cost to winning writers.
- Free resubmission for films and screenplays not selected — we don't expect anyone to pay again after a rejection.
- Live theatrical screenings, where we donate 100% of the box-office proceeds to the Cinema Art Theater in Rehoboth Beach, DE, a nonprofit, while still paying full price for the venue rental.
- Paid professional judges, because we believe the integrity of our awards depends on experienced evaluators being fairly compensated — not unpaid volunteers.
Rather than raising submission fees or cluttering screening pages with ads and sponsorship overlays, we rely on optional add-ons like certificates to help carry the load. If you choose to order one, thank you — you're directly supporting the free services we provide to the filmmaking and screenwriting community.

- Each certificate is limited to one award to avoid overcrowding and confusion.
- All certificates include your poster, if available. If your poster is off your Film Freeway page, please send it to us along with your order.
- The round gold seal is not included in the soft copy; it will be placed separately on the hard and framed copies.

Here are the four ways to order certificates:
1. Soft Copy ($65.00): We will email you a digital copy to print on certificate stock, which is available at most office supply stores. We recommend printing it on plain letter-size paper to ensure it fits before making the final print. An inkjet printer will produce better colors than a laser printer.
2. Hard Copy ($85.00): This is a printed color certificate on Award stock, and the cost includes USPS postage within the USA. If you are in another country, please get in touch with us with your address and phone number so we can provide you with the best shipping charge.
3. Curved Framed Copy, 8.5 x 11 ($180.00): This is a color-printed certificate on Award stock enclosed in a curved magnetized acrylic frame. The cost includes postage within the USA. If you are in another country, please get in touch with us with your address and phone number so we can quote you the best shipping rate.
4. Flat Framed Copy, 8.5 x 11 ($200.00): This is a color-printed certificate on Award stock enclosed in a flat magnetized acrylic frame. The cost includes postage within the USA. If you are in another country, please get in touch with us with your address and phone number so we can quote you the best shipping rate.
Rest assured, we take every precaution to ensure your hard and framed award arrives in perfect condition. While the award may shift within the frame during transit, the frame's magnetic design allows for easy adjustment. We recommend attaching a small, rolled-up piece of Scotch tape on the back of the certificate to prevent this. However, it's unnecessary if the certificate is not excessively shaken, moved around, or transferred. Your award is in safe hands.
As
we receive numerous certificate orders, please allow 20 business days
for shipping from the date we receive your PayPal payment, not
including transit time. Depending on when you place your order,
delivery may often be quicker.
It's crucial to ensure all information is spelled correctly to avoid any misspelling issues. Please note that there are no refunds for misspelled names provided by the customer. However, if we make a mistake, we will provide a new, corrected copy at our expense, including postage.
