About This Film

Requiem for a Life is an intimate family drama that explores the complex dynamics between a father and son who have grown apart over the years.

After the death of the family matriarch, a father and son find themselves thrown together for one evening following the funeral. Two men separated not just by generation, but by fundamentally different cultural perspectives and worldviews.

As the night unfolds, they are forced to confront each other—and themselves. Through difficult conversations and painful revelations, they begin to understand how their differing viewpoints created the distance between them.

Writer and director Tony Macy-Perez, who also stars in the film, crafts a thoughtful meditation on family, culture, identity, and the invisible walls we build between ourselves and those we love.
