The Voice of Sierra Nevada

This research documentary film focuses on extraordinary efforts by indigenous filmmaking collectives from the Arhuaco community in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Following years of violent persecutions of his peoples, Amado Villafaña started what become a golden era of Arhuaco filmmaking. This film documents their extraordinary journey.
