Overview:


Honorary Mayor Sandra Massie Hines is a documentary, which is based on a true story of a dedicated citizen of
Houston, Texas, who refused to sit back and watch the residents of her community go hungry, unemployed and poverty stricken.

Although, she loves her community very much, the seniors of Sunnyside hold a special place in Mayor Hines heart.
Because of these random acts of kindness, Sandra Hines has been named, Honorary Mayor for more than two decades.

The Honorary Mayor is known for her strong civil rights stance; especially in the Sunnyside Community.
She has earned a strong network of supporters, which started with Mayors in Houston, Texas, dating back two decades ago.
Here are The leaders who paved the way for Sandra Massie Hines. Mayor Kathryn Whitmire, Mayor Robert-“Bob” Lanier and
 Houston’s current, Mayor Sylvester Turner. This is just to name a few from a list of her congressional supporters.

                             
Character  Development:

We met our character Honorary Sandra Massie Hines-meeting with a group of residents planning her event
 calendar for the year. This Mayor has a very strong passion to serve the Sunnyside community.


Story Line

This  true story goes behind the scenes of the many events Honorary Mayor Hines coordinates every year, as part of
giving back to her residents. These events give the Sunnyside community excitement to-look forward to every year with anticipation to revitalize Sunnyside.
