SYNOPSIS
Main Characters will be a non traditional , mature adult female student Miranda in an Animal Care vocational class , looking for new volunteer work , her close friends who encourage her along the way , and fellow classmates who are all special College students with disabilities . A special relationship with her Dad who gives her a Hawaiian heritage , and a culture of way finding in double hulled canoes to navigate the ocean by patterns of stars and constellations , and a natural genetic curiosity for science and nature . A brief family history of engineers is presented . Her music background , her lifelong friendship with her mother , and her multiple hobbies in music arts and crafts are also highlighted . She reunites with an old veterinarian who trained her in wildlife rehab care back in her teens through a speaker from a Wildlife Care Center who comes to speak to her class and knows him . She and her fellow classmates have the most adventurous lab assignment ever during a raging pandemic : taking home a Betta Fish to care for ! Miranda discovers that Bettas are more than just a pretty fish she picks up in a pet store . She discovers where they really come from in the wild and their true beauty and intelligence . This is a heartwarming story about the Betta’s ability to have complex relationships with humans . Our Betta character even has an uncanny knack ( with a talent for dancing like water ballet ) for appreciating his human singing to him . This will be a good documentary to show the basics of starting an Aquarium hobby as a beginning Aquarist . This story hopes to raise awareness about the truth .
Miranda’s name might be changed to a Hawaiian name . Possibly Mahina , meaning moon in Hawaiian or Enakai , meaning raging , glowing sea in Hawaiian . Her last name can be Kanahele , meaning the forest in Hawaiian . Currently she is named after Miranda , one of the moons of Uranus .
One of the most important parts of our story is the relationship Miranda has with her Dad , who is chosen to give her pet fish his name .
Her mother Hannah who taught her to have awe and majestic wonder for nature .
Linda Batillion who trained Miranda daily on how to balance a Ph ( Potential for Hydrogen ) level in her new Aquarium and gave her lots of support from checking the temperature to water changes . Miranda learns how to keep the alkalinity of her tank’s water .
