Synopsis:
Amid the storms that arose before her, Alyson Riley was aware that it wasn't the first time she felt alone, however she couldn't understand why this time it seemed like she couldn't overcome it. In deep melancholy, she found herself forced to step away from her business at a time when her candy store most needed her presence. She knew that one day she would return to her origins, but she never imagined it would be under those circumstances.
Since childhood, she has witnessed up close the overwhelming despair of her parents when they lost the farm that was so important to the Riley family, which left deep emotional scars, especially on her mother who apparently never recovered from the loss of her land. She promised her mother a few moments before her death that she would avenge the fact or she would never be able to find a path to happiness, however upon returning to her homeland, she is not only confronted by the ghosts that surround her family's past, but also with the relentless figure of the local sheriff, whose inflexible behavior ends up leading her to her "unjust" arrest.
Amid the frightening waves of loneliness and uncertainty, Alyson finds herself driven by an indomitable inner courage, fueled by the promise she made to her mother and the burning need to find meaning in her own existence. However, the closer she gets to the truth, the more she begins to realize that the existential pains of a single individual can have consequences not only for herself, but also for everyone around her. She also had to deal with the fact that the truth can be much more elusive than she ever imagined. How far is our protagonist really willing to go to unearth the buried truth and reclaim her family's land?
