SYNOPSIS
When an organized crime leader tries to kill Sam, the prosecutor
who is working to take him down, Sam is forced to leave Los Angeles and
continue his investigation in hiding. Sam’s move to the Midwest
brings him face-to-face with his most formidable foe: Doretta,
the old lady condo board president at his new home. Sam teams up
with Marcia - a Black architect who lives in his building and who
convinces Sam to use his Justice Department skills in their battle
against the geriatric condo board that refuses to allow their building
to be dragged into the 21st Century. As the friendship between
Sam and Marcia blossoms, Sam grapples with the unexpected loss of his
younger brother. Based largely on actual events, this is a
touching and funny story about persevering past life’s obstacles,
accepting our imperfections, and finding our place in the world.
